Photo as Troops recover arms from armed bandits in Zamfara State

In continuation with the on going efforts of ridding Zamfara State of the menace of livestock rustling and armed banditry, troops of 223 Battalion, 1 Brigade of 1 Division Nigerian Army on Tuesday August 16th, carried out fighting patrol and cleared armed bandits camp at Baba-Ndoka, Chillin and Pamagaji-Magiha villages located at Dansadau Emirate, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

A statement by Army spokesman said the patrol team also held a meeting with Fulani delegation led by Alhaji Ruwa who voluntarily handed over 2 locally fabricated pistols and 3 Dane guns. He also promised to persuade all other known armed bandits to come out and renounce their illegal vocation.
