Sanusi, Awosika, Utomi for banking sector report launch

The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II; Chairman, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika; and a renowned professor of Political Economy, Pat Utomi, will attend the launch of the 2016 Nigerian Banking Sector Report slated for Wednesday in Lagos, the organisers have said.
According to a statement by Afrinvest Limited, organisers of the event, the trio will join other prominent bankers, economists and management experts from within and outside the country at the event.
Published by Afrinvest, the annual Nigerian Banking Sector Report has been recognised as a leading and incisive report on the nation’s banking industry.

This year’s report, entitled: ‘Searching for investor confidence; chronicles developments within the global and domestic economies in relation to monetary and fiscal policy responses to shocks, while also contextualising the impact of policy decisions on domestic macroeconomic variables.
 The Managing Director, Afrinvest, Ike Chioke, said, “We are privileged to have quite a large number of dignitaries and notable financial experts from both the public and private sectors attending the launch of the report, which is the 11th since its inception.
According to him, other confirmed panelists include a senior lecturer at the Lagos Business School and member of the Monetary Policy Committee, Dr. Doyin Salami; Group Managing Director, Access Bank Plc, Herbert Wigwe; Chief Executive Officer, Economic Associates, Dr. Ayo Teriba; Regional Head of Economics, Africa, Standard Chartered Bank, Razia Khan; and the Chief Financial Officer, Sterling Bank Plc, Mr. Sulaiman Abubakar.
